Pain
Light
and then it begins...
I see...
suffering
I see...
the end
I see...
inside myself
Anguish assails me,
fear.
Then I take the pen
and with trembling hand
I write...
The images become
the strange lines
that I trace on this page
The demons become imprisoned.
Now my hand trembles no more
and I can return to this reality
crazy
stupid
of which
we poets
we exiled souls
who walk
bent
under the rain
are
the prophets
or the most sensitive part
or, at times,
the most foolish.

La Malattia del Poeta

Dolore
Luce
e poi inizia...
vedo...
sofferenza
vedo...
la fine
vedo...
dentro me stesso
Mi assale l’angoscia,
la paura.
Poi prendo la penna
e con mano tremante
scrivo...
Le immagini diventano
le strane linee
che traccio su questo foglio
I demoni vengono imprigionati.
Ora la mano non trema più
e posso tornare a questa realtà
pazza
stupida
della quale
noi poeti
noi esule anime
che camminano
curve
sotto la pioggia
siamo
i profeti
o la parte più sensibile
o, a volte,
i più stupidi.
